I dont know if it'll work but you can take thc out of weed by mixing it with alcohol... would that work with salvia? I was thinking about soaking salvia in some absinthe. But I'd need alot of salvia to do it. I found a local place that sells grams for $30 so Im gonna have to find a good source for an ounce or so

Salvia needs to be absorbed in the mucous membranes of the mouth when administered orally (chewed leaf), as stomach acid neutralises the active compound... I think holding strong alchohol in your mouth (as it sounds like you would like to do) for a long time wont be too pleasant.

Pure salvinorin would be nice to add to absinthe. It does not have the bad taste and once absinthe in mixed with six parts water ( how I like it) it is quite mild and would be delightfull to hold in the mouth for a while.

I would also enjoy mixing extracted Salvia with absinthe. A delightful combo, though I would not dilute it so it could be quite strong.

salvia in tea form, with wormwood and calumus rooy, .... and a lode of splenda.

            sip slowly, enjoy,

mix one part to one part with soky (rice wine) and enjoy even more,

NOTE: don't oover steep the worm wood, but ad the salvia in loos so it flotes around and let the salvia steep for a long time before drinking, best to let it cool then re-heat and then ad the rice wine if you like. for a harder drink, use sky vodka or charcole filtered everclear .

            happy vision questing. :)

oh i for got to explaun my reasoning on this resipie.

"salvinorin a" is water soluble but only partialy alchol soluble.

i'm not a cemist so if ther is a flaw in my reasoning please feel free to explain, but please refrain from being a dick about it.

              :)

i used to make tincture w/ high proof grain 95% (purchased on the web) and 3 grams dried, raw salvia leaf. It would take an hour, but some of the methods can be dangerous. (microwave heating)

Can some Salvia not simply be simmered in acidified water for a period of time, like say, Chacruna, reduced to a small amount and then held in the mouth like a tincture??? Would this produce any effect at all or does alcohol have to be used???

If so, this may be a much easier and more pleasant way than either quidding or tinctures.

      Thanks.

should work fine, im pritty sure you can just juice it in a juicer and just hold it in the mouth, dont swallow, prolly dont even need the acid, and the alcohol just helps to open up the pores in the mouth for absorbtion, though it might help with reduction...

I was under the impression that an alcohol extraction would be very powerful to try as a tincture. So powerful that you may not remeber your experiance. Anyone tried salvia from an alcohol tincture?

            It depends on many things:

How strong the tincture is.. how you administer it... how sensitive you are, etc.

            see description for EMERALD ESSENCE
            www.sagewisdom.org/salviash...20Goddess

            "Mild doses reduce extraneous mental activity and calm the mind; many people find that low doses are quite valuable as an aid to meditation and introspection. A moderate dose produces a gentle expansion of consciousness that is useful for inner-journeying and self-exploration;

Strong doses alter the fabric of consciousness profoundly, producing rich inner-visions and inspiring insight. Very strong doses can totally immerse one in a visionary world and can propel consciousness into the far reaches of transdimensional/transpersonal space."

For me..the effects come on at about 8 mins. I swallow as I reach level 4 at about 10-14 mins.

Results always vary person to person, tincture to tincture, method to method.
