I was wondering if anyone out there has heard or knows of any recipe for making an oral Salvia tincure using vegtable glycerin instead of the traditional alcohols?
Thanks

Mon, October 27, 2008 - 11:26 AMhey cinna, its my understanding that it is a very simple process, you just make an extraction or tincture as you would normally, say with a alcohol extraction and set amount of starting material, and just reduce/ evap. the alcohol till its almost gone, it will get kind of "gooy" and then mix w/ the vegtable glycerin. with such a little volume of alcohol in the overall solution you should have no "burn" from it. you could also use a crude salvinorin crystal extract if you know how to go about that. But you probably thought of this already. mind you i have never used vegtable glycerin though, so this is what we will call informed speculation. -

Sat, December 27, 2008 - 9:56 PMA 15X SD resin can be made using 91% isopropyl alcohol that is evaporated off.
A 20X SD resin can be made with acetone that is also evaporated off.
Either way such had been dried in a well ventilated area.
Once made, the SD resin can be dissolved, or mixed into something like glycerin or ethanol, but one tried such with vegetable oil too. It worked, but it was not quite as fast as the alcoholic tinctures. 100 to 350mg of resin had been a fare dose for such an oral method.
