    www.mazatecgarden.com/

    groups.yahoo.com/group/SalviaD_Alliance/

The second link has their Salvia Buyers Club link on the front page. Great prices.

I would not buy from Mazatec Gardens based simply on principle. Their marketing techniques and gimmicks have brought Salvia under severe scruntiny.

Salvia D club are good people, but I suggest growing the plant if you are going to form any kind of relationship with it.

How exactly has Mazatec Garden's marketing techniques brought Salvia under severe scruntiny? Explain please. It is not like we publish Salvia Divinorum Magazine like Salvia Buyer's Club does (not that I think that the magazine is a bad thing, but it does draw more attention to Salvia, positive and negative).

It is not Mazatec Garden that had a series of videos on its site for awhile?

I think what I have seen with the videos that were on the site gave a flip/glib take on it. Of course your view may differ. There was quite a bit of talk about this a year or more ago on several groups. *Lots* of people were horrified by that exposure, and especially the lack of respect for an ally plant like Salvia.

If it wasn't Mazatec Gardens that had the videos, then I do apologize.

Salvia Divinorum Magazine was started by the founder of the Salvia Buyers' Club, was it not? There is that tie-in.

I would personally like people to be offered the living plant myself. After growing it for a decade, and using it almost as long, I have a great love for it. I think one can gain as much by growing and being attentive to it.

I understand market forces, but it will end up in tears and illegalization eventually because of the marketing and eventual "accident" that will grab the headlines. Selling extracts etc are very dicey. I once was for it, but now, not so sure.

Mazatec Garden is one of the few places that doesn't hype the stuff and try to market it as some cool party drug like the people that sell the candy-flavored salvia...bah....and they don't have any videos on their site, and I'm pretty sure never have. I'd be interested in finding out who does, though...and what kinda videos are we talking about anyway?

Well, the videos that I saw had a youngish guy, dark hair, beard, with a young lady "guiding" him. the video resembled this though not quite so bad:video.google.com/videoplay

As I said, if I were incorrect I apologize, and yes, I am incorrect and I do apologize. I think this is the source of the videos.

Yeah, thanks for the apology Gwylim. We are very carefull about the way we market Salvia divinorum at Mazatec Garden. I actually emailed the guy when that video came out and mentioned that I did not think he was showing a very good example of how a sitter should behave. He agreed with me, and said I probably wouldn't like the second one in the series at all, as it was much worse. I am kind of touchy about this subject, as Mazatec Garden sells to some smoke shops and metaphysical stores, and so a few years ago I had an online debate with Daniel Siebert about the issue (he opposes Salvia being sold in stores). The web debate was picked up by a newspaper reporter in California who published an article about it. My position was and is that there are many companies selling Salvia to retail stores, and many of them provide no information (or no good information) on how to use it safely and in a respectful manner. Of course these days you have Salvia sold under all sorts of druggy weed names, with bikini clad girls on the label, and in 13 flavors (watermelon Salvia, what would the shaman's say?), where as we try to put Saliva in more "holistic" looking packaging, and supply detailed information pamphlets ( www.mazatecgarden.com/informa...info.htm )with every gram. Of course if I named our shit Dank Chocolate Nugs and had a half naked girl with a bong on the package, I could make alot more money.

You are more than welcome, like I think I said, I don't want to rain on someones parade. We all are fallible one time or another!

The videos at Salvia Supply give me the willies. I cannot for the life of me figure out why he uses them.

Have you always owned Mazatec Garden? If so, you sent me one of your original packets to try out, years ago. (yes kids, the extract was good!) We were on a couple of salvia list together then if that was the case.

Hey, Flakey, do you remember this conversation??

"But...it says CHRONIC, right on the PACKAGE, dude! Are you SURE it's not real?"

                hehehehe :)

Yeah, I've pretty much always owned Mazatec Garden. Over 5 years now. The original list I started in in July 2000 is here: groups.yahoo.com/group/salviadivinorum2 (we were way before the Salviadivinorum(1) group, yahoo just changed the name to Salviadivinorum2 because they are dumb). Anyway, that group is still going steady after 5 years.

The smokeshop on Broadway across from Dicks has it. That is the first and only place I have ever gotten it. I recently went there and noticed that had something called purple sticky salvia displayed. I dont know what that is like, plus it cost $45.99. However I tried both the 13x and 21x with great results. If anyone partakes in the "purple sticky" salvia (silly name) I would like to know its effects. Thanks salvia tribe members, Colleen
